Role focus

• Hybrid account-management and business-development role.
• Core customer base includes machine-tool dealers, OEMs, and distributors.
• New-business “hunting” is primarily focused on end users, especially retrofit opportunities.
• Los Angeles territory represents a major growth opportunity; the previous rep was Phoenix-based and did limited direct prospecting in LA.
• Strong target backgrounds in CNC manufacturing
• Opening to those in application engineering or sales positions (tooling, metrology, CNC services, etc.)
• Machine-tool, metrology, automation, or industrial capital-equipment sales would align well.

Compensation and travel

• Base salary: $90,000–$110,000 .
• Expected total earnings: $130,000–$150,000 OTE .
• Commission on hardware sales only:
• 2% for “shipped-to” business
• 1% for “sold-to” business
• 3% total when both the sold-to and shipped-to customer are within the rep’s territory
• Commission is % of total sale revenue
• Typical single-unit sale: approximately $15,000–$80,000 .
• Travel: approximately 70% local field travel, including local customer visits, business development, and prospecting.
• Overnight travel: approximately 30–40%, especially when covering customers beyond the rep’s immediate home market.

• Company card or reimbursement option
• Mileage reimbursement at $0.76 per mile (4 cents above federal rate )
• $75 per-day per diem
